This book aims to tell the story of Furness Abbey through the eyes of the people who lived there, visited and explored the abbey. Its the people’s story, theirs, yours and ours! It was written by Gill Jepson and Ron Creer, committee members of Furness Abbey Fellowship and illustrated by Dalton artist Janet Pickering. It was sponsored by local companies, Dandy’s, Stollers, Atkinsons Stone Masons, Barra Culture and BAE Systems and is now available in bookshops and online.
